They must also be able to build compelling newscasts that engage and inform our viewers.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gather and verify factual information to develop news stories<\/li>\n<li>Produce daily VO, VOSOT, and packages.<\/li>\n<li>Shooting video and still photos as needed to illustrate stories<\/li>\n<li>Editing, or assisting in editing, videos for all multimedia platforms<\/li>\n<li>Innovative approach to maximizing existing tools and resources to enhance presentation.<\/li>\n<li>Live reporting\/Breaking News<\/li>\n<li>Line produce and booth newscasts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Experience:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1-3 years of experience working as a journalist inside a television newsroom.<\/li>\n<li>Experience producing newscast, in-booth handling live broadcasts and breaking news.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience as a field journalist \u2013 shooting, writing, editing and on camera reporting a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Passion for producing compelling newscasts and engaging stories.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent and quick writer who adheres to AP writing style.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy required, including newsroom computer systems (ENPS, BitCentral, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of broadcast quality equipment including hand held cameras and non-linear editing equipment and programs (i.e. Edius, Premiere, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.<\/li>\n<li>Must exercise sound editorial judgement with the high journalistic ethics and libel laws.<\/li>\n<li>Must have valid Driver&#8217;s License, good driving record and provide proof of insurability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Education:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Four-year college Bachelor\u2019s degree (journalism preferred)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Contact:<\/b><br \/>\nKITV<br \/>\n801 S.
