{"id":4729,"date":"2026-07-09T22:20:42","date_gmt":"2026-07-09T22:20:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hawaiibroadcasters.org\/files\/?post_type=job&#038;p=4729"},"modified":"2026-07-09T22:20:42","modified_gmt":"2026-07-09T22:20:42","slug":"khon2-digital-producer-i","status":"publish","type":"job","link":"http:\/\/www.hawaiibroadcasters.org\/files\/job\/khon2-digital-producer-i\/","title":{"rendered":"KHON2 Digital Producer I,"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>KHON-TV is looking for a Digital Content Producer to write and develop content for KHON2.com and KHON+.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The ideal candidate will:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Quickly write accurate, concise, and clear News stories that employ AP Style and are free of typos, grammatical errors, and spelling\/punctuation mistakes<\/li>\n<li>Write and edit scripts in a conversational, viewer-friendly style for streaming audiences<\/li>\n<li>Integrate digital content with broadcast coverage, working with the assignment desk, show producers, and on-air reporters<\/li>\n<li>Be comfortable with digital technology, managing video livestreams and editing and posting video clips to KHON2.com and KHON&#8217;s social media channels<\/li>\n<li>Serve as a content creator willing to produce stories\/segments and possibly host one or more live digital productions on KHON+<\/li>\n<li>Train and coproduce on-air talent to produce and live stream digital newscasts<\/li>\n<li>Schedule and coordinate shows for KHON+<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Produce and edit video content using OBS Studio and other tools<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all content meets high standards of journalistic integrity and production quality<\/li>\n<li>Research and analyze details to provide complete, accurate stories<\/li>\n<li>Host CTV shows from our streaming studio<\/li>\n<li>Arrange interviews with people for exclusive CTV shows<\/li>\n<li>Self-direct a show through OBS Studio setup and coordinate guests for in-studio or remote appearances<\/li>\n<li>Plan content for each day<\/li>\n<li>Schedule connected television app programming by crafting blocks of engaging content<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with reporters, anchors, and digital teams to ensure breaking news reaches all platforms (CTV app, web, Facebook, YouTube) in real time<\/li>\n<li>Monitor social media accounts and post content on our social channels<\/li>\n<li>Monitor analytics and viewer behavior to help shape content decisions<\/li>\n<li>Keep up to date with local, state, national, and world news<\/li>\n<li>Write and edit stories for the web and other digital platforms\/channels<\/li>\n<li>Other projects and duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The ideal candidate will:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Quickly write accurate, concise, and clear News stories that employ AP Style and are free of typos, grammatical errors, and spelling\/punctuation mistakes<\/li>\n<li>Write and edit scripts in a conversational, viewer-friendly style for streaming audiences<\/li>\n<li>Integrate digital content with broadcast coverage, working with the assignment desk, show producers, and on-air reporters<\/li>\n<li>Be comfortable with digital technology, managing video livestreams and editing and posting video clips to KHON2.com and KHON&#8217;s social media channels<\/li>\n<li>Serve as a content creator willing to produce stories\/segments and possibly host one or more live digital productions on KHON+<\/li>\n<li>Train and coproduce on-air talent to produce and live stream digital newscasts<\/li>\n<li>Schedule and coordinate shows for KHON+<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with live production systems (OBS Studio, vMix, switchers, ENPS, or similar streaming tools)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of WordPress, Akta, or similar digital content management systems<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with delivering content to CTV platforms such as Roku, Fire TV, and Apple TV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>#LI &#8211;
