Each day, local television and radio stations across the state deliver timely news, weather, emergency information, music, and entertainment. While residents have many options for their news and entertainment, none are as directly involved in their communities as broadcasters – and Hawaii local radio and TV station content is FREE to everyone. New West Broadcasting’s KWXX, B97 \/B93 and KPUA AM & FM have been a primary sponsor of the American Cancer Society’s Hilo Relay for Life for 30 years. The stations have provided extensive on air promotion NewWest and emcees for Relay for Life since the event’s inception. This year they helped ACS raise over $182,000.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/article>\n\t\t\t\t

This 32nd food drive helped sustain Hawaii Foodbank’s mission to nourish our ‘ohana. 93.9 The Beat’s Sam + Ryan and Becky Mits did a LIVE broadcast. One in six residents continues to struggle with hunger and this fundraiser helped raise more than $168,000, or 360,000 meals for the hungry in Hawaii.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/article>\n\t\t\t\t

Hundreds of dollars worth of school supplies and cash were donated during the event.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/article>\n\t\t\t\t

Da Bomb listeners raised more than $9,000! The two-day broadcast started with KSSK 92.3 FM\/AM 590 in 2007 and has been a giving tradition for our community ever since; KSSK shares stories of hope and healing during the live on-air broadcast in support of a great cause.
